What is microneedling?
Microneedling is a treatment used to treat a number of different skin complaints. Micro needling is a good treatment option for skin rejuvenation as this treatment will increase collagen. Collagen induction therapy is the penetration of the needles into the skin at a particular depth to create a micro trauma. The micro trauma initiates the healing response. During the healing process new collagen is produced and old misaligned collagen and elastin matrix is created. The new matrix will start to thicken the skin and improve skin texture giving the skin a fresher youthful glow. This is an ideal treatment for the helping to slow the aging process down. Fine lines and wrinkles are relaxed and smoothed out and enlarged pores are reduced in size and skin luminosity is restored.
Microneedling is very good at reducing the appearance of scars alongside helping to reduce the appearance of large pores. It is advised to have a course of treatments to get the greatest benefits from the treatment. A course of treatments consists of four treatments. The treatments are completed every four to six weeks. At the first appointment a dermaplaning treatment is completed, if you desire to add a dermaplaning on at each appointment this will come at a small cost. Microneedling treatments lasts for about three to five months, this depends on two factors; how long new collagen lasts and the degree of your skin concerns. You can maintain microneedling by having regular treatments. Microneedling penetrates deeper into the skin. The addition of microneedling and chemical peels can deliver the best results.
