Microblading aftercare

After receiving microblading treatment there are aftercare instructions that are paramount to assisting with the healing and a successful treatment. The healing period is 14 days.

  • After treatment please avoid placing make up on the face, especially the area recently treated. I would advise to avoid make up for 14 days.

  • Do not use any creams or ointments on the treatment area except for the A&D aftercare sachet provided by myself. I will show you how much to use morning and night for 7 days.

  • Avoid excessive sun exposure as this will remove the pigmentation of the treatment meaning that you will lose your brows and need to have treatment again (at a cost).

  • Avoid washing your hair if possible. If you do hold your head back avoiding getting water on your brows as getting the brows wet will affect the healing potentially causing patchy brows.

  • Do not get brows wet for at least 7 days.

  • Please do not let hair rub against the face as this can cause the healing process to be affected (potentially rubbing off scabs from the area).

  • Rubbing or picking brows/scabs will affect the healing and can cause blotchy brows.

  • Avoid activities that cause sweating as this will affect the pigmentation in the skin. Ideally for a week for the best results.

  • Try and keep dust and debris away from the skin as it is a healing wound and can cause infections.

  • Avoid excessive alcohol consumption as this can slow down the healing process.

  • Try and avoid rubbing and/or scratching the brows as this will cause the scabs to come away from the skin prematurely and will affect the brows causing patchy, blotchy and/or uneven brows.

  • Avoid saunas for the first two weeks and the excess moisture will affect healing causing uneven, blotchy and/or patchy brows.

  • Avoid facial peels for at least 14 days as the brows are essentially open wounds waiting to heal and you want to make sure that the areas have completely healed before having this treatment. If a peel is completed to soon after microblading it will affect the healing process.

  • Avoid swimming for 14 days as getting brows wet will affect healing.

  • Avoid sun exposure/sun beds for 14 days while your brows are healing as this will cause premature fading.

  • Avoid self-tan or salon tanning as this will affect the pigmentation and the healing process.

Apply the vitamin A&D after lotion provided. Put a small amount on morning and night with a clean finger. Complete this process for one week.
